Notes from Repu International Team meeting 3.3.2009

1. Recruitment of new members
An introductory meeting will be organized together with the Helsinki local group, most probably on the 18th of March 2009. Ideas for a programme should be discussed with the other organizers (RKE presentation about FT, Repu general introduction about the organization, Helsinki group about activities, International team about background/Hazel networking in India, List of activities to take part in). An information email will be sent to mailing lists, posters will be placed at university buildings, libraries, shops.
2 .World Fair Trade Day in May and 3. “Pledge for Fair Trade” campaign
The FT Breakfast Table on the 9th of May 2009, should be organized together with the Helsinki group. The “Pledge for Fair Trade” Campaign coordinated by the FT Advocacy Office in Bruxeles (a lobbying campaign for the Elections to the European Parlament) should be included. Hazel will take contact with the FANE Board and discuss to combine both campaigns. A more detailed planning should be done jointly with all organizers.
4. The FANE webpage
Problems with the website continue. Hazel will talk to the “webdesigners” and try to get some advice for technical improvement.
5. FANE newsletter
Kai will send emails to former authors and mailing lists to gather ideas for the April edition.
6. Fair Trade in Italy
Daniele reported about the current situation of Fair Trade in Italy.
5. Next meeting
About the next meeting will be decided during the introductory meeting on the 18th of March.
