Notes from Repu International Team meeting 19.11.2008

Present: Kai Schirdewahn, Hazel Salminen, Anneli Harbecke, Tiina Keränen (notes)

1. FANE Board meeting 8.11.

Hazel explained about the board meeting and the things decided there. Hazel is a member of the board and a link between the board and Repu International Team. Hazel was also named as the “coordinator of the coordinators” and she will keep in touch with the other board members.

Next important events for FANE are the seminar in Greece (if there’s funding), FT Breakfast table 9.5.2009 and Fairtrade Fair in Lyon, France in October 2009.

2. Leader responsibility of the International Team

Tiina would like to take a step back from the leader responsibility due to personal reasons. It was decided that the responsibility will be shared and circulated. Kai can call the next meeting. In the future, when Saara won’t be working anymore, Hazel’s email address will be put on the International Team web page.

3. The situation of the tasks

Kai is making the FANE newsletter and it will be out in mid-December. Tiina now has the organization list made originally by Minna. Tiina will send the list to Hazel and they will go through it. The links to different organizations will be put on the FANE web page if it’s ok to the organizations. Hazel will also check the Fairtrade Fair web page for new contacts.

Anneli can help with contacts to Germany and with translations from German.

4. Other things

Hazel will be in India from December to February and she will keep her eyes open for new contacts.

5. Next meeting

Next meeting will be more informal: the team will participate the next “Green drinks” meeting on Tuesday 9 of December. Hazel will call this meeting. The meeting after this will be held on Wednesday the 14 of January at Pro Fair Trade Finland’s office at 18.
